Learning Lab Director
NCS Staff Member Since: 2003
Education: Schoolcraft College: Associate in Arts
Madonna University: Bachelor of Science and a teaching certificate
After 15 years of faithfully teaching our second graders, Vicki has moved into the position of Learning Lab Director. She also tutors students, helps with the spelling bee and other school activities.
Vicki and her husband Rod have three daughters, Julie, Laura and Renee. They have two grandchildren, Matthew and Maria, who attend Oakland Christian School. Vicki loves reading, being outside in nature, traveling, and music (you may catch her humming). She finds joy in the simple things in life, such as a cup of coffee with her husband or a friend on her patio, enjoying her grandkids, and playing with her new kitten.
While raising her daughters, Vicki took on lots of volunteer positions in teaching like leading Girl Scouts and Pioneer Girls, and working on the PTA. She decided to go back to college for teaching while her girls were in school. Before coming to NCS, Vicki was a health teacher in Clarenceville for grades K-5.
Vicki says, “NCS is an environment that embraces learning, genuine personal faith in Jesus, collaboration, open communication and community. When I walk into NCS it feels like my second home. My students keep me smiling and I love getting to know and work along side the families at NCS. The leadership and fellow teachers at NCS are a blessing!”
