Kris Crouson

Preschool Teacher and Department Head

NCS Staff Member Since: 1985

Education: University of Michigan-Dearborn: Major in Early Childhood & Minor in Elementary Education

Kris got her first teaching job at NCS and has stayed here ever since.  She began as the second grade teacher when the school only had one class per grade level, and has watched as the school has grown over the years.  Later, when she started a family, Kris switched into preschool so that she could work part time.

Kris and her husband Terry have three children: Kevin, Timothy and Emily.  All three attended NCS from pre-k through 8th grade. Her son Kevin is now teaching history and Bible in the middle school at NCS.  Kris enjoys reading, biking, camping and going on walks.

Kris says, “I have been at NCS all these years, because when you walk through the doors and down the hallways, you feel the sense of love and respect. All the teachers and staff get along with one another and enjoy each other’s company. This translates into a committed and effective education for our students and helps open up critical communication opportunities with the parents.”
